A First! Solid Foods!

April 16, 2011 marked a pretty big day in Maison de Mehler. It was the day that we started Baby Gray on solid food.

I use the term "solid" loosely. It's not like he's chomping on a filet mignon.

It's called Rice Cereal. It's like extremely runny oatmeal.

Umm, I'm not sure about this...

Let's give it a shot!

First bite!

"Idunno...."

Messy!

"I guess this is okay!"

"Idunno about this"

New Play Station!

On April 7th Gray played in his new play station for the first time!

Not one of the Sony video game sort... those aren't allowed in the foreseeable future for the little guy.

He didn't really know what was going on- but it was a new experience and he liked it!

Look at this!

Woah.

He pretty much just stared at it most of the time. Bright colors. Different shapes. Very exciting stuff for a baby!

Overall, I'd rate it at a big success!

On a Roll... Almost

The Little G is on his way to rolling over. He will probably roll over back to front before he is does front to back. Mostly because he doesn't really like to be on his tummy. So, he'll learn to tackle the harder direction first! He's been getting on his side for over a month now so we'll see how long until he makes the final push!

He twists and turns on his mat... twisting it all over the place.

He twists and turns himself... so that he faces random directions.

But.. he's cute while he does it!

"I'm gonna get there one day!"

Waah!

At the beginning of April I had to come to terms with reality. Face the music. Bite my lip to keep it from quivering and prepare myself for a big step.

Packing up the clothes that Gray has outgrown.

It is a bittersweet moment, as I'm sure much of parenthood is. On the one hand, of course you want your child to grow and develop. But it is still sad to know he is getting bigger and won't be the adorable little baby forever! To know that time is passing and all to soon he will be asking for the keys to the car. YIKES!

So... goodbye baby diapers. You were history at the 2 month mark but I couldn't bring myself to take you from the drawer.

Goodbye Gigglesaurus. You are loved.

Goodbye clothes.

Thank you for your service!

And you know what? He's grown so much in the past month that I already have clothes that need to be added to the box...

Holy Bad Blogging, Batman!

Errrrrr, so... umm... I've been terrible. So, let me catch you up. Gray is super cute and awesome.

The end.

Just kidding! But seriously, let me catch you up with a blitz of posts!

On, ummm, March 26th! we went out to celebrate my grandmother and Gray's great grandmother's birthday. She turned 100! Just kidding- I just said that since she will read it. She is nowhere near 100! We had a really nice time visiting with family and he loved seeing his GiGi!
