Out to Lunch

I mean that literally. Although I won't hold it against you if you thought I was referring to myself and my scatter brain. The lucky baby was able to accompany me on a few work-related things and in the midst of it we decided to partake in a family lunch.

Our restaurant adventures go swimmingly when the little guy chooses to sleep through them! It is great because it means not only do we get out of the house and have a little human interaction but also that I can eat something more than a Pop-Tart. Brown sugar and cinnamon. None of that strawberry stuff. Those things are gross. It's amazing how little time there is to eat during the day when you have a newborn. If you take advantage of naps to make yourself some food there is absolutely no way you will have time to wash clothes (approximately 200 baby-related loads per day in addition to big person laundry), wash bottles, vacuum, feed animals, take a shower, etc. (yes, I am aware of how incredibly exciting my life is). But if you go out to lunch you not only get to eat food someone else prepares and cleans up but you get to completely avoid the before-mentioned tasks. You know, that whole out of sight out of mind thing.

Anyway, the only problem is that so many restaurants have TVs. And on those TVs they are often tuned into ESPN. Which means I pretty much eat by myself as David stares at his true love....sports. And on a day like today that is a problem because it results in this:

A distraught hubby because football season is over.
