Wow... 33 weeks... 49 days to go...
Baby is definitely in there... practicing his audition for River Dance. Apparently, due to his increasingly cramped quarters, "they" say that he might not be moving as much. But, so far, "they" are wrong. He's in getting jiggy with it (yes, I just said that) and perfecting his Cupid Shuffle. Clearly he takes after his dancing father! :) He is also hiccuping like crazy in there!
We've made quite a bit of intellectual progress on the nursery (meaning we've made more plans but they have yet to be implemented!)- the crib and changing table are in place, we have the crib bedding, the window treatments are being made as we speak, the glider is being made as we speak, we have the ottoman picked out, just today I believe I made the final decision on the fabric for the glider and ottoman, and the nursery is being painted on Friday. Whew! There are still a few more things to find and decide but we are getting so very close to completion! I will say this: I am so very thankful that my husband cares nothing about these decisions and lets me do as I wish. In fact, I'm pretty sure he has no idea what color the nursery will be much less what the fabrics look like.
Okay. Want to know what those "they" people I mentioned before say about baby? Here goes!
This month (month 8) Baby is 17.2 to 18.7 inches long and weighs between 4.2 to 5.8 pounds. In fact, he may grow up to a full inch this week alone! He's practicing his breathing and swallowing and all of his major organs (except the lungs) are basically fully functioning. Not only that, but he is starting to develop regular sleep patterns and will keep his eyes open while he's awake.
